Senior Medical Copywriter assume responsibility for development of the scientific and clinical aspects of their assigned businesses in depth, and serve as a key medical strategic resource for both internal teams and clients. They will leverage science in brand differentiation and communications, collaborate with medical copywriter, to represent the scientific perspective throughout strategic/creative development, and ensure scientific and clinical relevance and accuracy. Demonstration of excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong analytical and interpretive skills, is needed.
Responsibilities
Knowledge/Expertise
- Mastery of bibliographic referencing (search for relevant and valid publications).
- Mastery of the main regulatory guidelines for health communication (basic principles, environmental communication, product communication, presentation of a study, etc.).
- Be able to work on the design and writing of all types of support and be able to present it to the client.
- Ability to carry out a project with opinion leaders (design, follow-up and delivery).
- Ability to lead a client meeting on medical aspects
- Ensure project follow-up of his projects (a greater number of projects)
- Ability to juggle a multitude of projects.
- Autonomous, proactive and challenging in project management.
- Actively contribute to strategically relevant deliverables
- Mastery of the English language, syntax, punctuation and spelling.
Strategic Skills/Tools
- Follow the strategy defined for the brand and his environment and propose scientific instight for the integrated strategy team
Client Relationships
- Participate in client meetings and be an actor of the meetings
- Knowing/being able to present your slides to the client (having a clear, dynamic, warm and intelligible presentation)
- Able to guide the client in terms of regulations.
- Identified by the client as a key contact for all medical related issues.
- Understand and know the client thoroughly and be able to make proposals for new projects.
Business Development
- Carrying out and presenting the medical analysis in reco, in collaboration with the manager.
- Proposal/structuring/writing of deliverables for the reco and presentation to the client
- Encouraged to propose a communication concept considering the medical specificities of the drug.
Qualifications
- Doctorate or higher level in Medicine / Pharmacy / Sciences or Higher Scientific Diploma
- 4+ years’ of experience
- Excellent English language skills
Communication Skills
- Ask questions during the briefing process to ensure you have a clear understanding of what you need to do/write
- Communicate with your team if the delivery date or scope is going to change for any reason
- Communicate clearly with other internal departments to drive efficiency and high-quality outputs
- Ability to speak up in meetings to propose ideas.
- Promotes medical news sharing
Management and Leadership
- Ability to manage a project in tutoring/mentoring with an Associate Medical Copywriter or Medical Copywriter.
- Ability to brief a copywriter for a co-managed project.
Financial Accountability
- Ability to estimate your own time accurately and stick to it.
- Integrate the commercial dimension of each project (number of hours worked on each project, alert when hours exceed the forecast).
- Ability to optimize time for project profitability
- Adopt a sales attitude towards the client, both in reco and day-to-day work.

- Work and exchange in a collaborative manner with your team but also with all collaborators within the agency.
- Be able to refer to your manager and be a source of ideas.
