Our client is a growing biotech company developing innovative long-acting injectable medicines across multiple therapeutic areas. Their mission is to create equitable treatment solutions for patients worldwide, regardless of financial or healthcare constraints.
As part of their continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Senior Scientist to join the Analytical Development & Testing team in Montpellier with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in chromatographic method development for pharmaceutical products .
Role Overview
As a senior team member, you will lead the development, optimisation, and implementation of chromatographic methods using UPLC/HPLC to support drug development projects. This includes designing and executing experiments, pre-validating methods, and ensuring successful method transfer within a pharmaceutical framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise robust chromatographic analytical methods following Quality-by-Design (QbD) and risk assessment principles .
- Perform and document method development, pre-validation, and transfer in compliance with ICH guidelines and GMP/GLP .
- Analyse and interpret chromatographic data, presenting findings in technical meetings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, regulatory affairs, process development, project management, and external CDMOs.
- Lead the transfer of chromatographic methods to internal and external laboratories, ensuring smooth implementation.
- Identify and evaluate new analytical technologies , continuously improving lab procedures and best practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- MSc or PhD in Analytical Chemistry or a related field.
- 5+ years of industrial experience developing HPLC/UPLC methods for pharmaceutical applications.
- Strong understanding of GMP/GLP regulations and analytical method lifecycle management.
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) and QbD principles is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a structured and methodical approach.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
