An exciting opportunity for an FPGA Engineer has arisen with an innovative AI startup currently in stealth mode, based in Paris. This company is developing cutting-edge optical processing technology to overcome the limitations of traditional processors and drive the next wave of breakthroughs in artificial intelligence. This role offers a chance to work on pioneering hardware systems and be at the forefront of AI hardware innovation.
The role involves leading hardware development efforts, including the design and integration of FPGA-based systems and microcontrollers, firmware development, and co-designing the company’s AI accelerator with the digital design and software teams. You will also play a key part in enhancing the bandwidth and computational power of the company's Optical Processing Unit (OPU).
The ideal FPGA Engineer will have:
- Extensive experience with embedded systems, including MCUs (ESP32, STM32) and FPGAs (Xilinx, Intel Altera).
- Proficiency in communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, and PCIe.
- Strong skills in micro-architecture design, RTL simulation and verification (Verilog, SystemVerilog), and synthesis software like Vivado and Quartus.
- Expertise in FPGA programming for high-frequency analog/mixed-signal interfacing.
- Experience in developing hardware drivers and working with RTOS and kernel development.
