As a Legal Intern with the Legal & Compliance Department, you will collaborate with a team of six members, working on a diverse range of legal matters, not only in French law but also in countries where CGNEE has its assets, including the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, and Senegal.
You will be tasked to:
Daily follow up on legal aspects of CGNEE projects across Europe and Africa;
- Conduct legal research on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to contract law, corporate law, business law, EU law, public and environment law, etc.;
- Legal monitoring related to the company’s activities;
- Review commercial agreements related to renewable energy projects (e.g., NDA, MoU, SHA, TSA, O&M, PPA, land lease, insurance policies, etc.);
- Contribute to internal reporting and legal risk assessments;
- Liaise with external entities (e.g., law firms, consultants) and coordinate with internal departments of the company.
Profile:
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (M2) in contract law / business law
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents in both English and French
- Organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with legal research tools and methods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- General insights on the energy sector
Language: Fluent in French and English
