Job description:
The Laboratory of Theoretical and High Energy Physics (LPTHE) at Jussieu (Paris, France) invites applications for a postdoctoral position funded by Sorbonne University. The position is in the field of astroparticle theory and phenomenology, with a focus on Dark Matter phenomenology but with no special restriction.
The appointment is intended to start in the fall of 2024 and will normally be for 2 years. A 1 year extension is possible upon funds availability.
The LPTHE group of Particle Physics and Cosmology includes researchers with varied interests: Karim Benakli, Matteo Cacciari, Marco Cirelli, Benjamin Fuks, Mark Goodsell, Hua-Sheng Shao and Pietro Slavich, as well as postdocs and students. A Junior Professor in Dark Matter theory will also be hired next year.
The LPTHE is part of Sorbonne University and keeps close contacts with the researchers of other laboratories in Paris and in the wider Paris area, who are active in particle theory and phenomenology, experimental particle physics, astrophysics and cosmology. These include the Paris Institute of Astrophysics (IAP), the Laboratory of Nuclear and High Energy Physics (LPNHE), the Institute of Theoretical Physics of Saclay (IPhT), the Irene-Joliot-Curie Lab of Orsay (IJCLab) and the Astroparticle and Cosmology Laboratory (APC).
The Jussieu campus is located in the heart of Paris in the Latin Quarter.
