We are looking for a Guidewire Architect with extensive experience in the insurance industry as well as strong Guidewire expertise.
This role involves defining and designing technical architectures for Guidewire implementations, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with leadership skills to guide development teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Architecture Design: Define and document the overall technical architecture for Guidewire solutions, including data models, integration flows, and system configurations.
- Solution Development: Evaluate technologies and tools to design scalable and secure solutions using Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.
- Systems Integration: Oversee seamless integration of Guidewire applications with enterprise systems, ensuring robust performance.
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and project goals.
- Performance Optimization: Diagnose and resolve critical system issues while optimizing performance and security.
- Strategic Documentation: Create comprehensive technical roadmaps, architecture blueprints, and documentation for scalability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and IT leadership to align solutions with business objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
- Guidewire hands on experience
- Proficiency in Java, Gosu, SQL, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
- Familiarity with integration technologies such as APIs, web services, and messaging systems.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with microservices architecture.
Insurance Domain Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of P&C insurance products, underwriting workflows, claims processing, and billing systems.
Leadership & Communication:
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior developers.
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and business teams effectively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Agile methodologies using tools like Jira or Confluence.
- Familiarity with Generative AI models for insurance applications (e.g., underwriting automation).
- Guidewire certification as a Subject Matter Expert.
