Mobile apps are the focal point of our interactions with customers. We start our customer’s journey with our app, even before they have purchased one of our vehicles, and even when they are far away from their car. Mobile apps for connected vehicles present additional challenges due to the complexity of the cloud systems, the variety of connectivity, and the regulatory requirements specific to the automobile industry. Be a key person for this specialized and challenging mission as a Value Architect. Lead the development of our exciting iOS and Android Mobile Applications, understand requirements, define architecture and low level feature design, ensure that development and testing happen according to the code quality best practices. You will be the team lead and mentor of developers, train and guide them to become “best in class”. You will work closely with Product Management and development teams to satisfy business requirements for new features and translating them into a mobile solution, while working with developers to realize the common vision. You will be responsible for defining and maintaining mobile design patterns and ensuring that we deploy scalable and maintainable solutions into our mobile apps. Act as a technical advisor to application development teams to plan, implement, and support new and existing mobile applications and features. The mission includes the following activities: Define our feature level mobile system architecture, including but not limited to feature architecture, app architecture, cloud integrations, vehicle behavior, and adoption of next gen technologies Lead the development team assigned to your mobile features, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Work directly with product owners to drive best-in-class features for our mobile app Identify potential technical challenges or roadblocks early in the development process and work proactively to mitigate risks Ensure the feature architecture is realized into working code, being responsible for the success of the development team. Support the app developer and cloud developer community and maintain a rich set of documentation Perform and support feature-level, system-level, and solution-level troubleshooting when necessary Develop and implement strategies to measure and track the customer value generated by each feature. Work with partner organizations to analyze data and make informed decisions about feature optimization and enhancement Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree field Experience building successful mobile apps with a large user base Experience integrating mobile and cloud, with a deep knowledge of APIs More than 3 years experience developing or architecting multiple commercial-grade mobile applications using native languages, or developing or architecting clouds of APIs to support mobile applications. More than 1 years Kotlin experience for Android apps and Swift Experience for iOS apps, smartwatches included. Experience in working in Agile-Scrum development environment. Familiarity with DevOps and DevSec tools. Experience with the architectural decomposition for mobile apps, connectivity systems, and cloud. Deep understanding of the Android (or) iOS operating systems Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English You will join the Mobile App team under our Mobile Development Lead within the Apps organization.
