Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Medical Advisor located in Paris , with flexibility for remote work.

The role is initially planned until the end of 2026 with a realistic prospect beyond that .

Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

  • Medical degree or Master of Pharmacy (MPharm)
  • Good understanding of the Pharmaceutical Industry and the remit of Medical Affairs within a cross- functional matrix
  • Good working understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice with experience reviewing and/or certifying materials
  • Fluent in French and English (speaking & writing)

JOB PURPOSE:

  • Demonstrate Medical or clinical expertise, and industry experience to identify and address the relevant medical needs of clinical practice, to successfully support Medical activities related to Chugai products
  • Be responsible for high standards of compliance, ethics and safety of Chugai products, putting patients at the centre of his/her actions
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of the marketed and pipeline products to be able to respond to queries, train internal & external stakeholders & influence & shape the strategic direction of the therapy area
  • Ensure the development of clear medical plans & strategy are developed aligned with the business needs on an annual and as agreed further forecasted status. Management of associated budget
  • Develop working relationships and establish external contacts with french experts (TAEs), patient and learning societies.
  • Project management and delivery of non-promotional tactics, including but not limited to: medical education meetings, medical advisory boards, TAE expert meetings, non-promotional material creation (e.g. Medical resources, patient support items) and risk management plan materials
  • Lead on non-promotional activities at scientific congresses, including but not limited to: abstract submissions, educational symposia, insight gathering and post-conference debriefing to internal colleagues
  • Generation of data evidence to support the use of the product throughout its lifecycle, including management of Investigator Initiated Trial requests
  • Support with Health Technology Appraisal submissions and other market access submissions, leading on the clinical sections of the dossier
  • Support brand team members and business partners in co-promotional/co-development activities
  • Research, collate, present and offer expert opinion on scientific and medical information issues to support internal and external customers
  • Ensure that all the information sources used for providing Medical Information are up to date and reviewed regularly
  • Report adverse events associated with the use of Chugai’s marketed products to the Pharmacovigilance team as per company SOPs.
  • Act as a medical reviewer on the internal copy approval system for all promotional and non-promotional material.
  • Participate and lead in company compliance training & process improvement
  • Help with the development and response of relevant company complaints
