To strengthen our development team we are looking for a dedicated and motivated Embedded FPGA Systems Architect (m/f/d) for our headquarter in Wuppertal or our subsidiary in Paris 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Specification of embedded architectures with FPGA SoCs with Fokus on SDR systems
  • Analysis of processing requirements for new Riedel wireless products incl. use case analysis and definition
  • Investigation and pre-selection of different components with evaluation PCBs
  • Hardware/software partitioning
  • Signal processing algorithm development and implementation of selected components in Python/C/C++/HDL
  • Commissioning of the SDR Platform
  • Characterization of the system KPIs in the lab
  • Validation of functionality by automated tests

YOUR PROFILE

  • Several years of experience in professional design FPGA SoC based architectures; or a Phd
  • Basic knowledge of real-time system control and signal processing theory and practice
  • Routine in the design of signal processing applications (e.g. wireless base-band processing)
  • Experience in implementation of hardware and software components
  • Knowledge in the commissioning of FPGA SoCs
  • Knowledge in analog RF / mixed signal is a plus
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Ideally

  • Completed studies in a technical field, e.g. in electrical engineering, computer science, physics or similar, or a comparable education
  • Knowledge in agile methodologies
