Are you a passionate and driven Psychologist ready to make a significant impact on elite athletes? AS Saint-Etienne is seeking a dedicated First Team Psychologist to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to work full-time with their first team, while also aligning with their Academy's performance psychology provision, ensuring a holistic approach to player development.
The impact you’ll make:
In this pivotal role, you'll design, deliver and evaluate a performance psychology curriculum that maximises both individual and team performance. You’ll collaborate closely with first-team staff, embedding psychological strategies into all aspects of training, sport science and player development. You’ll provide individual needs analyses, deliver tailored psychological support and guide players in building mental resilience, focus and leadership qualities. Your expertise will be vital in helping players manage pressure, overcome setbacks and maintain peak performance. You'll contribute to an interdisciplinary team, offering insights and support to coaches and performance staff and maintain meticulous records of your work. You'll also provide guidance to the Academy, ensuring a consistent and high-quality approach to performance psychology throughout the club.
Your skills and experience:
We are looking for someone who possesses:
- A Master's degree in Psychology.
- Appropriate indemnity to work with professional football players.
- An Enhanced DBS check.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High energy levels and a proactive approach.
- A full and valid driving license.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
