Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Medical Affairs Leader to join a leading organization focusing on global medical strategy for rare diseases (e.g., elafibranor). This is a highly urgent hire to help design and implement medical strategies that drive the successful launch of cutting-edge treatments in rare liver diseases . The ideal candidate will have substantial experience leading global product launches, deep cross-functional collaboration, and a strong leadership background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of medical strategy for rare disease and oncology products, including elafibranor .
  • Design and implement medical launch plans and ensure their alignment with global strategies.
  • Oversee the execution of key milestones, working closely with cross-functional teams (clinical, regulatory, commercial).
  • Lead a team of two direct reports, fostering innovation, collaboration, and strong leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external experts in oncology and rare diseases.
  • Maintain close alignment with global market strategies for successful product launches in the European and international markets.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Medical Affairs with a leadership background in rare diseases (such as liver disease).
  • Proven expertise in global product launches , with hands-on experience in designing and executing medical strategies.
  • Strong understanding of French healthcare regulations, medical policies, and market dynamics.
  • PhD/PharmD/MD qualification preferred.
  • Experience in team leadership , with at least 5 years of leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to mentor junior team members.
