We are seeking a Senior Data Manager our client in Pau on a full-time, hybrid basis . This is a contract position running until the end of 2025 , with a high likelihood of extension.

Role Overview
We are looking for a curious, analytical, and dynamic professional who can understand business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and propose effective solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with the existing team to optimize data exchanges and interfacing with Petrolink (WITSML) , enhance real-time support centre (RTSC) business processes, and drive improvements in data quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business processes and data exchanges with Petrolink, identifying improvement needs.
- Propose and implement process improvements and tool enhancements for Petrolink and RTSC business processes.
- Ensure that validated improvements are implemented by Petrolink's developers.
- Implement and update data quality tools provided by Petrolink, challenging and improving them where necessary.
- Identify and implement a data quality monitoring tool to support a Bonus/Malus strategy on ML, MLWD, and Data aggregation contracts.
- Represent the drilling department in internal and external OSDU groups to drive progress on real-time OSDU standards.
- Act as the RTSC Data representative in multi-operator RTSC Forum groups.
- Work with contractors to advance the implementation of WITSML 2.1 ETP 1.2.
Data Quality Management
- Ensure RTSC standard implementation for mnemonics and UOM (units of measurement).
- Perform quality control on mnemonics provided by mud logging and MLWD service companies.
- Liaise daily/weekly with Petrolink/DrillX on data quality issues and WITSML data retrieval problems.
- Identify missing metadata on current and historical wells.
- Map historical data against RTSC standards for future use.
- Generate daily/weekly reports on data quality, including end-of-well reports.
Qualifications and Skills
- Wells and drilling experience.
- Strong knowledge of WITSML and experience with Petrolink .
- Experience with data quality tools and monitoring solutions.
- Familiarity with real-time data exchange and OSDU standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external contractors.
