At Dear Villagers, we help craft ethical games that delight players everywhere, and we have a lot of fun along the way. We are seeking a passionate and strategic Senior Portfolio Manager to lead our efforts, finding great games and partnering with talented, like-minded developers. In this critical role, you will not only spearhead the identification, evaluation, and investment in exciting new titles but also define the editorial line and portfolio strategy that will drive our publishing success.

What you will do:

· Develop and champion the overall vision and strategy for our game portfolio. This includes establishing clear guidelines for the types of games we seek to publish, the profile of Studios we are looking to partner with and ensuring alignment with the company's values and overall business objectives.

· Conduct in-depth due diligence on potential investments, assessing team expertise, market potential, risk factors and Portfolio fit to present compelling investment proposals to leadership.

· Manage the entire Greenlight pipeline, from initial contact with development teams to deal closing and hand-over to the product team.

· Collaborate with the Sourcing team to analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and player preferences to inform investment decisions, refine scouting strategies, and ensure the portfolio remains competitive and relevant.

· Lead and mentor the Sourcing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with independent developers, studios, and industry contacts, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships and expanding our network.

What you bring:

· 8+ years of experience in the video game industry, with a proven track record of successful game investments, portfolio management, and strategic planning.

· Extensive knowledge of various game genres, platforms and business models.

· Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to assess the commercial viability of potential partnerships, develop financial models, and negotiate favorable deal terms.

· Excellent negotiation, deal-making, and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.

· Outstanding leadership qualities with the ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire.

· A deep understanding of the publishing process, including game development, marketing, distribution, and community management.

· A passion for video games and a keen eye for identifying promising titles, with the ability to translate that passion into a coherent and effective editorial vision.

· Fluency in french

· Experience working with a geographically dispersed team.

· A proven track record of identifying and nurturing emerging development talent and studios.

· Familiarity with various game development tools and engines.

· Experience with international game investments and publishing deals.

· An established network of industry contacts, including developers, publishers, and investors.
