Position: IT Business Analyst (Guidewire Specialist)
Location: France (Remote work possible from France or Europe)
Contract: 6 months renewable (Freelance)

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst with expertise in Guidewire and a strong background in the insurance industry.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions, ensuring successful implementation and optimization of Guidewire systems while driving business process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business and technical requirements for Guidewire implementations.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for process optimization within insurance operations, such as claims management, policy administration, and billing.
- Recommend changes to improve efficiency and align with organizational goals.
Solution Design & Implementation:
- Work closely with development teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Support system configuration, integration, and testing of Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Provide regular updates, documentation, and training to stakeholders on system functionalities.
Project Support:
- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT), issue resolution, and post-implementation support.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices in insurance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
- Experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
- Proficiency in tools like JIRA, SQL, Visio/Lucid Chart for documentation and analysis.
- Familiarity with APIs, data integration techniques, and system configurations.
Domain Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of insurance processes, including underwriting, claims management, billing systems, and regulatory compliance.
Business Analysis Skills:
- Proven ability to gather and document requirements effectively.
- Experience in creating detailed process maps and functional specifications.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Guidewire certification or training is highly desirable.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools or advanced analytics for decision-making.
