Join our team in Montpellier, France, and lead the training of future pilots at one of Europe’s premier Approved Training Organizations . As Head of Training, you will be responsible for ensuring that all training programs meet regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest standards of excellence. We are looking for an experienced pilot instructor with a strong background in professional licence training, associated ratings, and certifications across multiple aircraft categories. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the next generation of aviation professionals.
Requirement:
- Solid knowledge of EASA regulations (French DGAC knowledge is a preferential title)
- Qualifications in line with ORA.ATO 210 requirements.
- Extensive experience as an instructor for professional pilot licenses and associated ratings.
- Strong managerial and leadership skills.
- Professional pilot license (also not current)
- Very good English proficiency (French language is a preferential title)
- International experience is welcome
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Accountable Manager regarding the human and material resources needed to conduct training in compliance with EASA, DGAC, and internal standards.
- Define forecasts for instructor and teaching resource needs (aircraft, simulators, etc.) in collaboration with the CFI and CTKI.
- Monitor the progress and performance of trainees, particularly training times in relation to available resources.
- Oversee the administrative management of trainee files, both regulatory and financial, in coordination with the financial and commercial departments.
- Ensure that all training programs comply with EASA regulations and standards.
- Design, adapt, and update training curricula to meet regulatory requirements and industry needs.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of instructors in collaboration with the CFI and CTKI.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to uphold high training standards.
- Promote and ensure a strong safety culture within the training organization, supported by the Safety Manager.
- Act as the primary point of contact with aviation authorities and ensure the academy meets all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the commercial department to develop new programs and participate in professional events.
