Key Responsibilities :
Pre-Sales Support & Tendering :
Tender Preparation & Proposal Support :
- Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to prepare technical proposals and bid documents for professional service of BESS projects (EPC project management, BOP service, O&M service, etc…)
- Provide expert input during the pre-sales phase to design custom energy storage service solutions based on client needs, including system sizing, configuration, and performance criteria.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, project schedules, project delivery process and risk assessments for proposed service solutions.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations during the tender phase, ensuring the proposed service solutions meet their specific requirements and expectations.
- Help define key project parameters such as scope of work, deliverables, and timelines for the proposal phase.
Client Interaction & Solution Design :
- Engage with clients to clarify requirements and propose suitable energy storage solutions.
- Present technical information in an accessible way for non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between client expectations and project feasibility.
- Provide detailed technical insights and help position the company’s capabilities effectively during the sales process.
Project Planning & Coordination :
Project Execution & Management :
- Lead and manage BESS projects from initiation to completion and/or O&M management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
- Work with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the smooth execution of projects and expected financial result(revenue and profit).
Risk Management & Issue Resolution :
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or risks that may arise during the lifecycle of the project.
- Implement mitigation strategies to resolve challenges, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and costs.
Stakeholder & Client Management :
Stakeholder Communication :
- Maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide regular project status updates to internal management and clients, ensuring transparency.
Customer Relationship Management :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and maintaining a positive relationship throughout the project.
Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance :
System Design & Integration :
- Ensure that the technical design and installation of BESS systems meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee the integration of battery storage systems with existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation.
Quality Control :
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all systems are being installed and tested according to project specifications.
- Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance :
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance :
- Ensure that all projects comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Lead site safety meetings and inspections, ensuring that safe practices are followed throughout the construction and installation phases.
Project Documentation & Reporting :
Documentation & Reporting :
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including technical specifications, project plans, reports, and correspondence.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Post-Project Support :
- Oversee system commissioning, performance testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Provide post-project support, including performance analysis and client training on system operation and maintenance.
O&M management :
- Support project O&M bidding proposal and quotation.
- Support to define project O&M process and SLA to meet customer requirement
Qualifications & Skills :
Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is a plus.
Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in the renewable energy or energy storage sector.
- Proven experience managing BESS or similar energy infrastructure projects (grid-scale or commercial).
- Experience in pre-sales support and tendering, including technical proposal preparation and client interactions.
- Previous experience with Energy Management Systems (EMS) and/or Power Management Systems (PMS) is an advantage.
- Previous experience with energy storage sector O&M or managed service management is an advantage
Skills :
- Strong technical knowledge of BESS technologies (e.g., lithium-ion, flow batteries) and their integration with power systems.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks.
- French and English language is mandatory. Chinese is an advantage
