Who we are?
Founded in 2000, LINAGORA is now positioned as one of the leaders in French free software. We are present in six countries and have approximately one hundred clients. We develop innovative software and advise and support our clients in their efforts to implement Open Source solutions.
As our product range and projects continue to expand, we are seeking a talented individual to lead our R&D team.
For over two decades, we have been developing open-source software, and it is crucial for us to find individuals who share our philosophy, our values, create high-quality code, are active in the Open Source communities, and strive to create Open Source alternatives to products from IT giants.
Your role
You will join the Twake Workplace () team and you will spearhead the development of our flagship privacy first and Open Source workplace solution.
Twake WorkPlace is an enterprise-grade alternative to MS Teams/Slack, designed to enhance efficiency and security for businesses of all sizes.
As CTO, your mission will be to architect and evolve this comprehensive digital suite, integrating various components into a cohesive, secure platform. You'll lead the charge in creating a truly Open Source solution that empowers organizations to improve their efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and security in both professional and private contexts.
Yours responsibilities:
- Manage development processes and a team of over 30 people
- Develop a product development strategy in collaboration with product and business leaders
- Introduce new technologies, optimizing and reducing development costs
- Implement processes to objectively assess development timelines and deliver releases on schedule
- Monitor development deadlines, adhere to the roadmap, and follow best practices (TDD, detailed documentation)
- Create and manage an architecture committee
- Actively interact with HR to complete the team
- Participate in pre-sales activities
Required Technical Skills :
- Active contributor to the Open Source community with an active GitHub account
- Proven experience in leading a development team and delivering complex projects
- Experience in designing integration architecture and integrating systems using REST APIs
- In-depth knowledge of building and scaling large applications
- Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end)
- Experience in building robust and secure REST APIs in Node.js, JSON
- Solid experience in component-based development on the client side

- Ability to work in an international team with diverse cultural traditions
- Self-starter with enthusiasm for solving numerous technical challenges
- Interest in the entire product under development
- Commitment to creating a first-class product, chosen by users for its UX, convenience and simplicity
- Readiness to be active in developing the Open Source community and participating in specialized conferences

Compensation and recruitment process:
- Salary: Between €70,000 and €90,000 based on experience
- Rapid recruitment process with 3 interviews, including an online technical test with code writing
- Goal to complete all interviews and make you an offer within a maximum of 3 weeks
Desired profile:
- Individual passionate about and involved in Open Source
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing development teams (> 15 people) in a remote and international work context
- Stable individual capable of long-term commitment and seeking employment with real prospects for evolution
- Mastery of oral and written communication in English, considering a strong multicultural context
