Quality Engineer – Remote

Job description
In the frame of Aircraft Modification activities under EASA DOA Part 21J and EASA POA Part 21G, Sabena technics Blagnac is looking for DOA Quality Engineer with relevant experience.
You will join the DOA Community, focusing in the aircraft Modification domain. In this role you perform independent system monitoring activities under EASA Part 21 subpart J approved Design Organization approval and quality management and compliance monitoring under EASA Part 21 subpart G approved Production Organization Approval.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES :
a) Coordination with the Authorities on the maintenance of approvals
➢ Be the focal point of the Authorities (OSAC) for all questions relative to the quality system of the POA, and support the HoISM in the interfaces with the EASA,
➢ Inform the Authorities of evolutions and modifications of the approval, and manage major/significant changes to the organisations,
➢ Analyse findings identified by the authorities and implement the corresponding action plans, keep the authority documents (for example action list, audit and deviation report (FRF for EASA),
➢ Provide a quality report to the Authority before the regulatory deadline,
➢ Ensure document monitoring, plan and organize the implementation of regulatory changes, maintain a compliance matrix
b) Ensure the conformity of the POA processes with the Part 21 regulation
➢ Planning, implementation and follow-up of audits
o Plan internal and external audits,
o Implement and/or ensure their implementation.
➢ Management of curative and corrective actions
o Allocate nonconformities to the concerned service managers, approved the proposed curative and corrective actions,
o Handle non conformities according to their level (1, 2, 3) within the time limits; request for time extensions if necessary,
o Monitor these actions and their effectiveness
➢ Monitor, analyze and implement the improvement actions suggested by the POA staff.
➢ In addition to managing those activities for the POA, you will be involved in them within the DOA Quality System (internal audit, development of the procedures, management of internal findings ….)
c) Document Management
➢ Update or make sure that manuals, procedures, instructions, user guides and forms are updated depending on the activity and regulation evolutions,
OPERATIONAL QUALITY:
➢ Support to the qualification and DOA surveillance of Subcontractors / Partners
o Participate in the evaluation, qualification and surveillance of subcontractors / suppliers,
o Follow-up nonconformities and implementation of corrective actions,
o Participate in the validation of contracts with Customers / Subcontractors / Suppliers / Partners / Aircraft Manufacturer,
➢ Contribute to the regular surveillance of DOA processes on projects
o Monitoring of projects and corresponding DOA processes (participation and check of main milestones (classification, required partner arrangements, AD research,…), respect DOA change management process) and verification of the identification of required design reviews.

Required profile
SKILLS AND COMPETENCES :
• Ability to work successfully with EASA/OSAC, and act as a focal point. Ability to manage difficult schedules and technically challenging projects
• Current or recent employment within the aerospace industry working with an EASA Part 21 J or G.
• 5-10 years aerospace in the aircraft industry, preferably in modification context
• Knowledge of Other National authorities and regulations is a plus.
• Knowledge in Design Assurance System or Quality Management System
• Ability to convince and influence • Fluent in English
• Ability to work on multiple programs with varying level of requirements efficiently and effectively. • Ability to priorities workloads and show flexibility to changing situations / demands.
