Associate Director, Sustainability Reporting & Disclosure
Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for CCEP’s sustainability reporting and disclosure, ensuring that the comprehensive and transparent reporting of CCEP’s sustainability strategy, actions, performance and metrics meets mandatory legal frameworks, and enhances CCEP’s position as a sustainability leader in the food and beverage industry.
What to Expect:
• CCEP’s sustainability reporting and disclosure, ensuring that comprehensive and transparent reporting and communication of CCEP’s sustainability strategy, actions, performance and metrics meets mandatory legal frameworks (e.g., CSRD, ESRS, EU Due Diligence Directive etc), and enhances CCEP’s position as a sustainability leader in the food and beverage industry.
• Responsible for the process to ensure CCEP’s compliance with CSRD & ESRS requirements, including annual double materiality assessments, and ensuring compliance against ESRS reporting standards, as well as other upcoming mandatory frameworks (e.g., ISSB, SEC regulations)
• Oversight and delivery of CCEP’s annual sustainability reporting and disclosure, including sustainability content and data within CCEPs Integrated Report, country and corporate data tables, and other mandatory and voluntary disclosures; working together with other key stakeholders – including Corporate Secretariat, Legal, BPT, QESH, procurement and external agency support.
• Oversight and management of the external assurance of CCEP’s ESG metrics, performance data and sustainability content within CCEP’s IR and related online data sheets. Drives engagement with CCEP’s external assurance provider, and liaises with internal subject matter experts to secure external assurance for CCEP’s sustainability reporting and performance data.
• Oversee annual evolution of CCEP’s annual TCFD disclosure, working in partnership with key stakeholders – Finance, Legal and Enterprise Risk Management, in order to meet UK legislative requirements
• Responsible for engaging with internal stakeholders, including sustainability leads in CCEP’s business units, functional subject matter experts, BPT and data and analytics teams, internal controls and internal audit teams, and corporate governance teams; to ensure CCEP ESG reporting continues to evolve
• Own engagement with key TCCS reporting colleagues to ensure alignment on reporting and assurance processes, and data
• Responsible for ensuring alignment with CCEP PACS communications team to deliver consistent content and assured data on CCEP’s social media channels and website, and ad-hoc ESG/Green claims made via local teams.
• Engagement and coordination with CCEP’s PACS Public Affairs team to ensure ESG content and claims are represented accurately within external CCEP Public Affairs positions, and within internal PA team guidance.
• Responsibility for CCEP’s annual engagement with key external disclosures – e.g., CDP Climate, CDP Water, CDP Forests, including a comprehensive and robust internal process to gather content and input from across markets and functions; engagement with ESG Reporting Working Group to review and sign off disclosures. Responsibility for leading internal assessment of results and a full analysis and benchmarking of scorecards and results.
• Responsibility for coordination and management of CCEP’s ESG Reporting Working Group – ensuring key reporting and disclosure topics are raised for discussion and decision with working group members, including reviewing key decisions and disclosures that need to be raised to the CCEP Steering Committee and ESG Committee of the Board of Directors
• Oversight and direction of CCEP’s engagement with additional sustainability related indices and rating agencies, including MSCI, Sustainalytics, Moody’s ESG, ISS-ESG, EcoVadis and Know the Chain, managing the annual disclosure cycle, ensuring comprehensive and targeted disclosure where required; working with others in CCEP including with the SM Sustainability Reporting and Disclosure.
• Responsibility for engagement with BPT to ensure the evolution of CCEP’s reporting systems landscape – including delivery of reporting management system, to ensure compliance with CSRD/ESRS internal control requirements
• Continual review of external ESG reporting and disclosure landscape, to understand and provide insight for CCEP internal stakeholders on how mandatory external disclosure expectations continue to evolve (e.g., ISSB, SEC, TNFD etc).
Skills and Essentials:
Experience
• Experience and knowledge of corporate sustainability reporting & disclosure requirements and expectations, including understanding and experience of CSRD, TCFD, and CDP.
• Experience of internal or external audit procedures, and financial analysis background required
• Ideally, experience of working in a sustainability function in a large corporate environment.
• First class English language written and presentation skills a priority. Additional European language an advantage. Must be able to demonstrate ability to write good clean copy.
• Ability to analyse data and information from multiple sources – must be able to navigate complex technical information to develop clear, simple, and compelling communications. Must be able to demonstrate ability to analyse and synthesise complex data in a simple way for internal audiences.
• Strong understanding and experience of sustainability issues and trends.
• Proven experience of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience of working with senior leadership from multiple functions.
• Proven ability to motivate team members and lead cross-functional project teams.
