The business solutions provided by the MX.3 platform rely on common infrastructure services and a development stack that have been evolving over the last 20 years and continue to evolve to meet the current and future challenges.
The Team:
The platform Technical Evolution and Services (TES) domain drives the evolution of the MX.3 technical capabilities to be aligned with market standards and customers' expectations. The TES domain is product managing the foundation technical layer on which the MX.3 platform is built (infrastructure services and technical development stack) as well as the technical runtime components that guarantees its proper functioning (software libraries, operating systems, IT infrastructure) .
The User interface (UI) product is managed as part of this domain. The UI product spreads over several functional pillars and through different technologies: Web, MMS, Java Swing. The UI team is responsible for the product management of the UI product, that includes:
- Governing the existing UI stack (framework and components) and product
- Driving the evolution of the UI product through building a roadmap and a vision and executing it
- Implementing the right support models to maintain the product and enhance it to meet our clients needs
- Guarantying the coherence across all the MX.3 UI and a good level of user experience throughout the application.
The team collaborates closely with the User Experience (UX) team and all product evolution teams to achieve those missions.
The team is made of Technical Product Managers and Technical Experts from different seniority levels. Team members are in contact with many development and support teams from all the offices of Murex and also in direct contact with customers.
What you'll do:
You will be part of the UI product management team in the TES domain.
- As a member of the TES domain User Interface team, you will:
- Provide support to internal (L1) and external customers (L3) during the different phases of the MX.3 platform lifecycle (from presales to solution design to implementation to production)
- Analyze support requests and reported bugs/issues and collaborate with internal stakeholders for their resolution
- Contribute to the domain activity towards achieving domain-level objectives (e.g., enhancing product documentation, enhancing support and maintenance qualification process…)
- Work on contributing and executing the company's vision applied to the scope at hand: the UI.
- As part of this Product management position, you will play the role of product manager as part of an agile team, leading the execution of the product vision, applying agile and SAFe practices, e.g:
- Build product expertise
- Own the product's roadmap
- Build specifications and follow the product end-to-end lifecycle
- Ensure the right product is delivered to client
- Write Product features to execute the roadmap and be accountable for their lifecycle: Feature DoR/ Feature DoD
- Conduct demos, perform risk assessments, and write release notes.
Who you are:
- Educational background in computer science or software engineering
- 5 years minimum of previous work experience:
- You have product management experience and a strong technical background
- Or you have a strong technical background and are willing to develop your product skills
- Previous experience working within an agile team is a must
- Previous work on User interface/User experience is a plus
- Succesful experience with UX/UI, Java Swing
- Knowledge of communication protocols like RMI, HTTP and gRPC is a plus
- Able to work on functional and technical subjects like the UI, development
- Able to communicate with several teams to clarify product need and to deliver the right messages around the products
- Autonomous, rigorous, analytical and synthetical mind
- Product oriented with ability to innovate
- Able to manage dependencies, deadlines and work well under pressure
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a must, French is a plus.
