Asset Manager Europe

Location:Paris Based with Frequent travel within Europe

We are easyHotel and we are inventing a new breed of affordable and low-carbon hotels. Our mission is to enable more people to travel differently, by offering hotels for everyone; hotels that are simple to book, simple to use and city-focused; hotels that are designed for both those travelling on a budget and those who prefer to save money on their hotel to indulge in the best of the city.

Today, we are present in 11 countries with 42 sites, but our goal is to become a 100 strong pan-European platform within the next 5 years.  To support this growth our Chief Development Officer/Head of Real Estate is building an international development, investment, construction, and property team.

The development and investment team is targeting development opportunities for owned, leased and franchise properties, with the full support of influential shareholders in the real estate market in Europe, ICAMAP and Ivanhoé Cambridge.

The construction team is working on all development projects, managing the construction works to deliver projects on time and on cost as well as delivering renovation and low carbon works in our existing properties.

At the time of writing, we directly own 26 freehold and leasehold assets, and we are looking for an Asset Manager to join the team and define the value creation strategy for our existing assets.

As Asset Manager for easyHotel in Europe you will be part of the pan-European development team and report directly to the CDO/Head of Real Estate.  You will build and manage productive relationships with our real-estate owners and will play a key role in managing the hotel real estate portfolio as it grows.

Your primary objectives will be

  • Define the real estate strategy for each existing asset, in alignment with the operations and construction teams, and roll out the strategy.
  • Manage the valuation process with 3rd party valuers and be the expert in the valuation market within Europe.
  • Define, plan and follow up execution of CAPEX plans directly with the construction team in Europe, with the input of external technical advisors as and when needed.
  • Manage conversions, extensions and/or the disposal process when appropriate.
  • Maintain close relationship with all existing landlords and tenants; manage all lease contracts and follow up on all property management aspects.

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent presentation, communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relations with broader real estate and business community.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and business judgement.
  • Highly organized, rigorous and focused.
  • Efficient and autonomous while comfortable collaborating across the organisation.
  • A positive, self-starter with drive and curiosity.
  • Agile, resilient and able to adapt to a fast-growing organisation.

What’s in it for you?

  • The opportunity to join an international team, with real potential to grow your career on a global stage
  • An entrepreneurial working environment with opportunities to get involved in all areas of the business
  • An employer who is committed to the sustainability agenda
