Contextualization:
Reporting to the Legal Manager of Geopost SA, based in Issy-les-Moulineaux (France), you will join the Legal Department of the Legal and Compliance Department. The Legal Department is composed of the Legal Manager, five In-House Legal Counsels, a Paralegal and a Legal Intern.
Geopost’s Legal Department is unique in that it is composed exclusively of In-House Legal Counsels with dual skills: (i) either Corporate/M&A, or Transportation/Distribution, or IP/IT and (ii) Contracts, working in both French and English (oral/reading/writing).
Drawing inspiration from the finest international market standards, Geopost's Legal Department is committed to an ongoing performance approach in order to deliver an ever-higher quality of service to its internal clients.
We are looking for an In-House Legal Counsel to join the Legal Department for a period of 8 months from now until 31 October 2025 to replace a maternity leave. The In-House Legal Counsel, now being sought, will display the same skills as the rest of the Legal Department and work in the same performance-based spirit.
Missions :
You will be in charge of the following tasks, in coordination with the rest of the Legal Department:
Mission 1 : Ensuring the Management of Shareholdings and the proper functioning of the Governance Bodies of Geopost SA’s Subsidiaries where applicable :
In coordination with the rest of the Legal Department, and in particular under the guidance of the Senior In-House Legal Counsel and help of the paralegal assistant:
- Maintain and ensure the updating of Corporate information and documents by the Subsidiaries/Affiliates in a virtual database (DiliTrust Governance)
- Keeping up to date the steering charts of Geopost SA, its Subsidiaries and Affiliates (list of the corporate mandates, list of the companies and Geopost Organization Chart).
- Checking for compliance with the governance rules applicable to the Subsidiaries and Affiliates of Geopost SA:
-Analyzing, reviewing and checking the corporate documentation sent to Geopost SA for signature in its capacity as shareholder (in particular approval of the financial statements, change of officers, corporate transformation, capital increase, change of registered office, creation of company, etc.)
-Quality control review to ensure proper keeping of corporate registers, etc.
Mission 2 : Securing Geopost Contracts :
- Updating the tree structure of the document database (Gedosifi) used by the Legal and Compliance Department
- Keeping Gedosifi up to date
- Participation in the deployment of a Contract Lifecycle Management tool (Dilitrust) within the Legal and Compliance Department and the other departments of Geopost SA
- Performing contract monitoring and providing support to project leaders
- In coordination with the rest of the Legal Department, assisting project managers in negotiating and drafting contracts (notably Intellectual Services Agreements and NDAs in French or English)
Mission 3 : In coordination with the rest of the Legal Department, managing the legal function at Geopost SA and more broadly at Geopost :
- Participation in the deployment of Legal Dashboards within the Subsidiaries of Geopost SA
- Providing support, in coordination with the rest of the Legal Department, to internal clients through periodic meetings on legal issues and standardizing the approach in order to improve efficiency on recurring issues
Mission 4 : Seeing to the development of an efficient legal culture within Geopost
- Drafting of Newsletters on Corporate Governance matters
- Monitoring the Legal Community
- Carrying out studies, memos and legal arrangements
- Monitoring changes in legislation and case law and developing/updating the resulting procedures
- Providing legal support and educational training (FAQ, tutorial videos) for the different departments of Geopost SA and, where applicable, its Subsidiaries
- Being involved in shareholder reporting activities, in coordination with the rest of the Legal Department
Functional relationships
- Internally : with all members of the Legal and Compliance Department as well as the Subsidiaries’ In-House Legal Counsels. The In-House Legal Counsel will also work in interaction with all Departments of Geopost SA and/or its Subsidiaries and Affiliates.
- Externally : with consulting firms and Legal Counsels, and other service providers.
Profile :
- With a Master 2 Degree in Business Law, possibly complemented by an LLM and/or business school, you have 2 years’ professional experience (excluding internships) in a law firm or in a European/International corporation at a holding company level.
- CAPA (or equivalent) is an asset. Successful professional experience in the transport sector is also an asset.

To achieve the objectives assigned in the context of this position’s responsibilities, the In-House Legal Counsel must demonstrate organizational, interpersonal and technical skills, and more specifically:
- Being fluent in English, both written and oral
- Writing skills in French and English
- French company law
- Good knowledge of contract law and strong writing skills (civil law and common law)
- Self-sufficiency, rigor and organization
- Ability to take initiative and adapt
- Interest in project management. Knowledge in this area is a plus
- Information analysis and summary skills
- Interpersonal skills, particularly in a multicultural context, and team spirit
