Overview and purpose of role:

Under the leadership and guidance of the store manager and or Store Manager, the Stock Associate has a fundamental role to support a performant store activity ensuring correct stock so as optimized stock consolidation, efficient transfers and regular perfect stock takes. As Stock Associate, your role is to maintain a perfect level of stock with no discrepancies and make it accessible to the Sales Associates' team. You should be tidy and well organized to support the sales team in offering our customers the smoothest experience.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

Service delivery

  • At Christian Louboutin, customer service can also be internal.
  • Manage defective stock meticulously and in a timely manner, escalating any issues or concerns.Entering inputs and outputs in the stock control software Y2 ensuring on-going optimization of the stock and availability of the goods.
  • Organizing the storage space in order to have the best accessibility to the products.
  • Carrying out weekly consolidations requested by hierarchy, proceed end of season stock clearance.
  • Manage the replenishment of merchandise and marketing tools in collaboration with managers.
  • Proactive in giving new and relevant propositions for stock optimization in order to avoid overstocking and sold out.
  • Preparing and carrying out precise and rigorous fiscal and rotating inventories.
  • Assist with all receiving/shipping and inventory related paperwork
  • Opening of the boutique in security according to the needs and delivery schedules.
  • Work closely with the business on company calendar to forward plan for external events and seasonal changes in the business.

You will be responsible for stock management and organising the dispatch of goods and stock management:

  • Storage on LM of the collections produced for the fashion shows of the designers with whom we work each season (ready-to-wear Oct & March + Haute Couture Jan & July)
  • Storage on LM of the prototypes we collect from the comic strip each season (SS & FW)
  • Storage on LM of pairs produced for the photo department after use on shoots.

Storage and management of press stock + seeding influence

  • Destocking of all collections at the end of the season
  • Responding to all requests from other departments to borrow samples (photo department, shoemaking, legal, workshop, HR for leaving/birthday gifts, studio, ML, etc.)
  • Respond to all requests from other foreign offices to borrow samples.

Results Driven

  • Actively striving to support sales team in achieving key performance indicators, in order to improve boutique/concession results and reaching individual and store targets.
  • Active and proactive, you will take all necessary initiative and respect carefully every single process to achieve theft and shrinkage company targets
  • Demonstrating competent awareness of our overall business performance and the surrounding market/industry.
  • Developing detailed and extensive knowledge of our brand culture and DNA, in order to feed in-store collective skillset/knowledge.

  • A proactive member of the team, working towards achieving tasks set and to meeting the store targets and goals.
  • Partnering effectively and collaboratively with all team members to contribute to a professional and rewarding workplace culture.
  • Assisting the management team alongside fellow colleagues to support with the daily operations or back office activities of the location.

Skills and Requirements:

In order to deliver the main responsibilities of the role, you will need the following skills:

Technical skills:

  • Proven experience in a retail company; a plus if it’s in luxury or service environment.
  • Proven experience in stock handling
  • English proficiency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Knowledge of logistic software or at least adaptable quickly to new systems/processes.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and to move and handle boxes of merchandise throughout the store, which entails heavy lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above.

Soft skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail, in order to support the needs of the business and to provide a polished and professional service.

  • Reporting and administration – strong administrative skills, ability to complete weekly stock reports to management accurately and meet deadlines.

How will success be measured?

  • Your manager will analyses the tidiness of the stock. The results of the inventories will be key. Your punctuality will serve as well so as your respect of the process.
  • You will be set individual daily and monthly sales targets which you are required to achieve.
  • On a yearly basis with probably a monthly or quarterly follow-up, you will have a performance review with targets to still improve your performance based on:
  1. The core company values and behaviors, which are expected to be demonstrated at all times.
  2. Team work: you are expected to deliver as part of a team at all times and supporting and mentoring (if necessary) new team members as required.
  3. You are expected to respect Company processes and procedures and follow about security, stock, transfer, shoe-uniform, grooming amongst others.
  • Your manager will be expected to provide you with ongoing appropriate feedback to support your improvement where necessary and appropriate as required.
