Will manage the current VIP product developers and report to the Business Unit Director, to follow the development of the custom prototypes/outfits from the sketches to the handover to the VIP department. He/she is in daily contact with the inhouse atelier/manufacturers for the follow-up of the developments, the respect of the schedule and budgets, while guaranteeing the style and quality objectives defined beforehand.
As such his main missions will be to:
Participate in Briefs between Design and Atelier teams following custom requests communicated from VIP department.
Be able to calculate and communicate a budget estimate on demand to VIP department before launching.
Create launch file for each prototype including sketch / codification in the software system PLM / Comment file / Bom / Purchase Order.
Liaise with Fabric and Trims teams, ensuring the availability of fabric and trims for each custom request.
Work closely with in house atelier or external manufacturers for pattern development and follow making.
Have dedicated team update the VIP PowerPoint document following each appointment with the design team
Constantly update on the custom prototypes’ delivery before each event deadline and ensure delivery on time.
Control prototypes quality before any presentation to the designers and anticipate alteration.
Build a panorama per vendor in case of consequent program and have dedicated team update it daily.
Management of a team of 3 product developers.
General requested skills:
Senior profile with 8 to 12 years’ experience.
Hybrid profile with a design background or pattern making experience
Creative and Innovative
Fluent in English, Italian would be a plus.
Sensitive to the world of creativity and fashion
Knowledge on the product: To get the best quality product and be able to anticipate any quality issue.
Strong knowledge in the diverse types of making/finishings from tailored to flou categories.
Excellent communication skills: The profile will be a central hub in between all stakeholders, from PR team to Atelier/factories, Special project, Raw Material teams and sometimes also needs to interact with the VIP’s
Able to drive a fitting and do the pinning. Pattern making background required.
