Day to day:

  • Development and setup of the infrastructure of the data platform, such as the creation of Azure resources
  • Building and maintaining ETL processes to make data from other environments available on the platform
  • Managing the data platform and supporting users
  • Analyze and resolve incidents and issues in the data platform's development, test, and production environment
  • Capture practices in patterns, recipes, FAQs and manuals
  • Provide training to teach others how to manage and use the available environments and pipelines within the data platform
  • Setting up and maintaining security measures on the platform
  • Creating and managing tables in the metastore

Essentials:

Background

  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree in a data- or IT-related field
  • 5 Years of professional experience working in a similar role
  • Understanding data and platforms are a true passion of yours
  • Experienced in configure and developing data platforms in Azure
  • Demonstrated affinity with modeling, transformation and extraction of data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You have a good eye for detail and strong interpersonal skills
  • You are a self-starter and team player
  • You are able to work in an organization with a complex system and data landscape.

Extensive technical and functional knowledge of:

  • Azure components [Storage Account, Databricks, Azure Machine Learning, Keyvault etc.]
  • Security of the Azure components based on AAD
  • Privileged accounts (service principal & PIM)
  • Bash/powershell scripting
  • TSQL
  • Python and Pyspark

Experience with:

  • ML/OPS methodology
  • Use of API’s
  • ETL/ELT data load processes
  • HIVE database technology (set-up and maintenance of tables in the Metastore)
  • User/groups in Databricks regarding security
  • ML modelling processes

Extras:

  • Knowledge and experience with the application of Agile and Scrum practices.
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Azure technology and Databricks.
  • Prior experience working in the Finance industry / credit risk domain and knowledge of relevant regulation.
  • Preference to work in a dynamic, international environment.
