Postdoc: Spintronics with 2D magnets

Description of the offer :
Spintec is opening a postdoctoral researcher position on magnetic and spin transport properties of (Fe,Co)xGeTe2 2D ferromagnets. The candidate will investigate spin-orbit torques and/or electrostatic control of magnetism in epitaxial van der Waals heterostructures. The work will primarily consist in magnetotransport experiments (including the patterning of devices). The researcher will also be associated to the growth of multilayers by molecular beam epitaxy and to relevant magnetic measurements. The candidate must hold a PhD in physics, with a good knowledge of magnetism, spintronics and/or physics of 2D materials. A previous experience with nanofabrication and magnetotransport will be highly valued. The position is 12 months-long (possibly extended) and expected to start on beginning of 2024.
