Type II diabetes has been qualified as an epidemic worldwide. Approximately 450 million adults had diabetes worldwide in 2019, and this number is expected to reach 700 million by 2045. In France, almost 4 million persons are suffering the disease. Complications due to diabetes are disastrous (ex: 1st cause of amputation in France) and the healthcare system is overwhelmed by the burden of diabetes and associated pathologies.
At Stēto, we are convinced that technology can be of great help to patients and healthcare professionals, and can completely change the way we treat diabetes. As connected medical devices are becoming increasingly common (blood sugar monitoring devices, connected watches, …), we are building a 360° Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) platform that will help care teams to continuously and remotely monitor patients.
Our long term objective, together with patients and healthcare professionals, is to completely change the way we take care of patient with diabetes, thanks to data and cutting edge technology 🚀
About Stēto Stēto has been co-founded by Gauthier Croizat and Vincent Chabot mid 2022. We just closed €1M+ funding round and our Medical Device is 100% reimbursed by the French Assurance Maladie. We are currently a team of 4, and aiming at a team of 8 within the next few months. We are advised by key industry leaders, supported by top tier investors to be disclosed soon, and are supported by the most selective Science & Tech incubator Agoranov. ✏️ Job description
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will work closely with our cofounder Vincent. You will be accountable for the Tech at Stēto, have a key role in building our Remote Patient Monitoring platform and growing the future tech team. Your contribution will be decisive to Stēto’s success and you will have a direct impact on how we help people live with diabetes.
Following our first funding round, we are aiming at a team of 1 Tech Lead (you) + 2 Full Stack Engineers.
The position is a hybrid role, your missions will be a mix of 1) software development 2) infra/devops 3) software architecture and 4) engineering management.
Role & Responsibilities
- Designing, building, testing, deploying and maintaining efficient, reusable and reliable code
- Growing the tech team as well as mentoring future junior team members
- Sharing knowledge with future junior developers and propose best practices to the team
- Implementing software development best practices and animating the agile process
- Interact with people with different roles and background (cofounders, product, business, …)

Profil recherché
Requirements
- 5-7 years of work experience as a Software Engineer or Fullstack Engineer
- Great rigour, willingness to produce good quality code and to follow software development best practices – we’re building a medical device so approximation is not an option !
- Back-end expert, with a good vision on both infra/devops and front-end challenges
- Interest in either security/IoT/mobile development is a bonus
- High technical leadership
- Good communication skills to discuss key technical decisions with the founders and willingness to mentor junior developers as we will grow the engineering the team
- A fluent level of spoken English
- Willingness to work in the health industry and to develop products to help patients living with chronicle health conditions
