Based in France, a senior
member of the project management team, the Design Manager
guides and directs the project design team to achieve the
project’s overall objectives. The Design Manager ensures
that designs are carried out to the highest possible technical
standard with the most commercially effective solution. Of
course, Health and Safety legislation is
followed with respect to the design process and to maintaining
production efficiency within the project design team.
Exyte France offers 2 roles, both preferably located in
Aix-en-Provence.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
A key member of the engineering team, you will :
- Maintain the efficient
management of the project design team on a day to day basis
monitoring technical, financial and health and safety
implications - Contribute to
co-operative working across disciplines, including the
identification of responsibilities, in accordance with the
company’s procedures, and contribute to multi-disciplinary
project teams, leading them when required - Contribute to ensuring
that effective internal/external working relationships are
established and maintained with clients, sub-contractors
and special suppliers. - Ensure the effective
use of company resources and sub-contract packages in
accordance with individual project cost plans - Monitor the
production and progress of design information in accordance
with the project timescales. - Produce and develop
designs as appropriate in support of other design team
members ensuring that designs meet user requirements, cost
limits and time scales. Co-ordinate with Clients, other
professions and members of the Projects and Maintenance
Teams - Manage the production
of tender design documents in support of the design team
members. - Manage the resources in
an efficient manner in time, cost and delay : ensure that
the planning of resources is always up to date ; ensure the
billability of all resources (no underutilization, no extra
costs).
Show your expertise
- Sound knowledge with
broad experience in design, installation and management of
construction. The post holder must have working knowledge
of current legislation and practices - Self-motivated rational
thinker with good motivational skills able to communicate
with all disciplines at all levels - Well organised and
capable of organising others with the ability to manage
people, processes and time - Team player with an
energetic outlook able to educate and improve design team
staff to achieve best results - Ability to analyse and
monitor project requirements including programme, resource
& cost - Ability to work to
deadlines, under pressure and on own initiative - English Level
Intermediate + (B2) minimum required. - Fluent French mandatory
(client's requirement )
