RINA is currently recruiting for a Solar PV Consultant – Renewable France to join its office in Saint-Germain-En-Laye within the Consulting Country South Western Europe, Africa & Middle East Division.

Mission

Supporting the growth of independent and owner's engineering services for renewable and storage Projects in France and French speaking Africa.

You’ll provide technical consulting services to lenders, investors and owners throughout the development, procurement, construction and operations phases of PV projects. Typical core tasks will include technical due diligences as part of PV project financings or mergers & acquisitions, feasibility studies, yield calculations, tender management and construction monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

Technical Analysis 
•    Undertaking solar PV resource and energy yield analyses including review of irradiation data, PV system and loss / uncertainty analysis
•    Leading the development, implementation and management of data collection systems
•    Improving and validating RINA’s technical analysis approaches
•    Specification Assistance

Technical knowledge, development and research

  • Contributing to the continued improvement of internal processes and research to maintain our industry leading position in the field
  • Help develop, test and deliver new solutions to our clients, and be ahead of industry best practice with a solution focussed attitude

Project Management and Quality Assurance
•    Management of individual projects and portfolios ranging from kW to multi MW in size across France, Francophone Africa and our worldwide offices
•    Ensuring the delivery of solar resource related services is on time and budget, to a very high standard and ensuring client satisfaction
•    Supporting business development through liaison with a wide range of customers from PV developers to financial institution
•    Help develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients and teams
•    Expected to use effective communication within the project team to support delivery of the project

Client & Customer management, business development
•    Take part in scope discussions, proposal drafting and negotiations with key clients including International Finance Institutions, developers, Lenders
•    Build and maintain existing client relationships through delivery of high quality analyses, reports and discussions
•    Attend client meetings and present RINA’s approaches or results competently
•    Attend industry conferences with active participation (presentations, posters, etc)
•    Use client satisfaction and feedback information to improve our business offering

Leadership & Development
•    Actively involved in developing and mentoring graduates and interns.
•    Participates fully in all team activities and looks to find solutions to problems whilst maintain strong relationships

What we are looking for

•    A degree in an engineering field (Grandes Ecoles or equivalent) preferably in electrical or energy engineering
•    Strong interest in renewable energy 
•    Experience is essential, in energy assessments, project engineering, procurement or construction of PV plants, preferably with a consultancy, developer, manufacturer or contractor in France
•    Strong practical knowledge, both technical and commercial, of how a PV plant is developed, constructed and operated
•    Appreciation of the economics of solar energy development
•    2+ years of experience in the solar PV industry
•    Ability to work in a multicultural environment with project teams based across different offices
•    Attention to details
•    Project management experience and capability to lead a project team
•    Fluent in English and French with an ability to write concise reports in English and French and present to stakeholders
•    Experience with grid connection and grid studies is a plus.
•    Good IT skills and excellent knowledge of MS Office package
